Modern Homes are trade qualified, architectural builders. We work with architects and architectural designers across Wellington and turn detailed architectural plans into beautifully crafted, quality finished, modern homes.
Our residential work includes energy efficient homes with passive home principles, contemporary and traditional house designs, new builds, renovations, alterations and multi-unit developments, recladding and weathertightness remediation projects.
Our commercial offering includes small commercial fit outs and building maintenance.
Modern Homes was formed in 2004. Owner and project manager, Rob Pavan, has over 35 years experience in the building industry managing residential and commercial projects. Having completed his apprenticeship in Wellington in the 1980’s, Rob is a strong advocate of the industry apprenticeship programme. He has trained numerous apprentices through to trade qualification and currently has team members working towards trade certificate. “It’s important to pass on your knowledge and skills. It helps create confident builders with good problem-solving abilities,” says Rob.
Rob is a Licensed Building Practitioner and a member of New Zealand Certified Builders. Modern Homes works with qualified and reputable sub-trades and suppliers.
